Default SJ-200 Sold!

SOLD!

This is one of the good ones! Montana built in 2009, purchased new in 2012. This is a beatutiful tobacco burst guitar with a great voice -- nice fundamentals and that classic Gibson coloration. When you want to plug in, there is a terrific sounding Fishman Ellipse Aura pickup to support you. And it's a dream to play -- great action and response. The rounded neck feels great in your hands.

This guitar is in very good condition -- gently used in a non-smoking house and at a couple of outdoor gigs. No dings, dents, scratches, or blems. I replaced the pins with ebony, but will include the originals as well.

More pics at http://www.westernbop.com/J200/index.html

Specs:
Top: Sitka Spruce
Back and Sides: Maple
Bracing: Traditional SJ-200 X-bracing
Fingerboard: Rosewood
Neck Profile: Rounded
Neck Width: 1.725” at the nut
Pickup: Fishman Ellipse Aura

I love this guitar, but I've got too many full jumbos these days. Having recently discovered the joys of smaller bodied instruments, I'm making adjustments to the herd. Please buy this before I take it out of the case and start playing it again...

I'm asking $2300 shipped in the OHSC to the lower 48.

I am open to trades, or trades + cash. Maybe something Martin in a 00 size? A late model J-35? An old L-1 or something? A cool little parlor model?

This is a great chance to get hold of that J-200 you've always wanted!

I certainly agree about pics, and as I mention in the post, I'll have some up later tonight. In the meantime, it looks just like the one at the Gibson site:

Thanks for the offer teletaylor, but I'm all set in the J-45 department.

Thanks for the responses!

What am I missing, the OP said it was built last year and has 2012 in the post title yet the serial number shows it was built on 8/24/2009

serial# 02369040

The truss rod cover font is wrong for 2012 as well as the bridge pins (which could have been changed by the OP)

Thanks for pointing this out! I never even thought to check the serial number. The guitar was purchsed new in 2012, so I made an asssumption, not thinking that sometimes the higher end instruments are in inventory for a while.

I'll update the listing (though I can't figure out how to change the title of the thread).

And yes, I put in ebony bridge pins, but will include the OEM plastic pins as well.

Thanks again!
