Default My Favorite Guitars' OM-18 Custom

Does anyone have one? Either way, what are your thoughts?

I think it will be a lovely guitar if it is the same one I had in mind. I think it has the same bracings as the OM-18V except for the neck, it is a low profile (I think) instead of a V like the 18V.

If it is the same guitar as the OM-18V, I'd say go for it. I was going to purchase one of these, but the trouble of getting sent here to Australia was too much so instead I opted for a secondhand OM-18V. Good luck mate

BASED ON NEW STYLE D-18 W/OM SPECS AND PA NECK
5-6 Sitka top
Mahogany back and sides
OM#6A scalloped braces
Ebony fretboard and bridge
Bone nut and saddle
Modified Low Oval PA Taper
1.75 nut width
2 & 3/16ths at bridge
Gotoh Nickel tuning machines
Rear headstock stamp
In other words... a winner!
A whole different animal from a regular OM-18.
You will find it to be MUCH more responsive.

I'm seriously thinking about one of these and have been in touch with Jon. Sounds like another winner.

Hi Mr B,

Those custom OM-18 guitars at MFG seem like very good deals. The recording sounds like a very nice all-around guitar. I think you'd be happy with this.
