David: What can one say..............? It just does not get any better. True inspiration for those of us who try to improve our workmanship. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Folks! Here's a brief audio/visual clip of my buddy Michael Francis playing this guitar. The first selection is mainly with a flatpick ... the second with a thumbpick and fingers. .

Sounds wonderful. I bought the first of the three Remudas that Trevor ordered with the same Lutz top but Royal Macassar Ebony back , a beautiful guitar.
How do you think the tone varied with the Mad rosewood back? |

A gorgeous work of art w/ some incredible looking Madagascar Rwd. The raised fingerboard plays well into the design w/ a sound to match. Stunning to say the least. Nice...!
On the ebony bridge: Is there any particular reasoning for the 2 different sizes on the wings, or just an aesthetic...? |

All things being equal ... my Macassar and Madagascar guitars sound very similar when new. As they mature, the Madagascar rosewood tends to develop a bit more upper mids ... have a slightly less aggressive attack transient on the low E and A ... but the overall response, and overtone series shimmer stays the same.

Hey Mad ... thanks for the kind words! Re the bridge ... just a looks thing. There was a time (around 20 years or so ago) that I bought into the Kasha "impedance matched" bridge thing. I'm sure some builders put that theory to good use and made it work, but in my case ... just a look.

Just received an email from Trevor at TAMCO and it looks like he's sold this one already. Thanks Trevor.
Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to drop in on this thread. I feel honoured to be a small part of your community! I'm taking a few weeks "off" to build a canoe with my son ... but will be back in the saddle again in September. Until then ... keep on picking everyone!
