BTW - In 2004 I played at the "beanstock Acoustical Music Festival" near Sherman Tx.
As only "jen-U wine" Texans were allowed to play, I underwent a ritual to become an honorary Texan. Don't that count?

Can't remember the details now but I know it involved some spirit called "JD"! I'll try to find my certificate!

All the best, and hope y'all had a great holiday!

(and thanks to tbeltrans for the kind words).

A fifth head has just been carved. We still have some stonework to go, though. With or without the cowboy hat?

Just a historical point: until the Declaration of Independence was signed, both Washington and Jefferson were British subjects. Even after that, the Crown insisted that they were STILL British subjects.

Anyway, thanks for including me on the list.

....yeah I couldn’t believe it either...but spell check never lies right??

...actually it is a word in the free dictionary, the urban dictionary and the new century dictionary...I just checked...so even though I thought I made it up I didn’t...well I kinda did but so did other people....

....and the definition is the exclusion of certain individuals from the enjoyment of certain rights or privileges....so i misused the term too..in the immortal words of Emily Lutella....

..never mind...

I think it should just be a large tablet with the inscription that says this:

"Martin vs. Taylor"

I see no problem with this thread. Perhaps you could elaborate as to what you mean by back hand insult and who is being insulted by Marty.

Please replace anyone but Jefferson. All wonderfully gifted men but he was the genius of the lot. And no offense but...who is that?

Obviously the intention of the thread is to just say thanks to the few mentioned, but because I've been here a while I appreciate the contributions of many more members than just 4. I had a list of about 30 members that I was going to post as response, but its kind of silly to escalate this to an argument just because the list was too short,

Plus anyone I left off of my list would then be mad at me

Just ignore my previous post.

After hanging out on many Internet fora for many years I've noticed that singling out individuals for praise sometimes backfires.

There are a zillion different kind of people populating public fora.
That means there will be many different ways to react to posts, even well-intentioned posts.
Some will interpret a compliment to some as an insult to the others.

IMO when you just can't win, it's best to just not play.
