Default Karura dred case (like new) Comparison pix added (Hiscox and Hoffee)

This is a top-of-the-line, carbon fiber Karura flight case in perfect condition...never taken out of my house. The only “issue” is that it is too beautiful to actually USE! While IMO not a case to take your beater to a gig at the local tavern, there is no better case anywhere (and I have/have had them all) to store or display your prized custom, vintage, or cherished dreadnought. More photos available—please email or PM me. These are about $1200 new. Buy this one for $925, including shipping and insurance (CONUS)

REDUCED TO $875 Delivered

A couple of interesting inquiries so far--but this case is still available.

Karura (center) compared to dred cases from Hoffee (bottom) and Hiscox (top). The karura is lighter weight and provides a much slimmer profile than either of these excellent cases. I don’t currently have a Calton dred case—but it probably comes closer to the Karura profile—but weighs CONSIDERALY more.

Does the case fit a slope shoulder dred? Like a j45?

Great question! I tried it out for the first time tonight--first with a Martin D-35S, and then with a Gibson Jackson Browne Model 1 (the closest i have to a J45). Both fit snugly, but safely. Hope that helps.

If you want some photos of those guitars in the case, send me your email address and i will forward them to you.

Please note....I had sold this case over on the Martin forum, but the deal fell through when the purchaser discovered that the Karura case won’t stand on end by itself. As I had never attempted that with this (or any other) case, I did not know that! So in any case, it is now back up for sale. Please feel free to ask any questions. Thanks.

I know they offer two kinds of latches. Which type does this one have. Hard to tell from the picture.

Just returned from my vacation this morning! Thanks for the interest--but i was not aware there were two types of latches, and just checked the Karura website to find out about them--but could not find any info there! If you send me your email address, i can take some close-up photos and send to you.
