Thanks,

I saw that on ebay last night....is the new Metallica album selling that poorly that they're having to recoup their losses by selling their guitar? I'm not a Metallica fan myself, but I heard they're ticking off their fans royally with this new album by recording it at MP3 quality, so that when people rip it, the sound is even further degenerated. Cd sales for these guys are waaaaay down. Serves 'em right.

Rick

Guess that makes my Guild F-50R Special that was made for Jerry Garcia worth worth a cool million.

I'd consider selling for that much money.

Heck, $100,000 would do.

Maybe even $10,000.

You'd have to give me $500,000 to play that guitar!

Before I'd spend that kinda cash on something that trivial, I can think of a few things that say Ferrari on them that I'd rather have!

Those cracks are "repaired'? You'd think they'd take a half million dollar guitar to a better luthier.

Boy, if they had a "Buy It Now" feature with it, I might do it, but with an auction, who knows how high it will go? I might get caught up in the heat of the moment and want to snipe it for a million or so!
Totally insane (both the ad and whoever decided that anyone would be stupid enough to bid that (or half, no.....1/4......no.....1/10th.) Just crazy!

I've got cracks on my face that have been repaired better than that one.

besides the fact that I really just don't like martins, I wouldn't pay $100 for any guitar that had a crack in it (repaired or not), nor do I give a **** who has played it, that should depreciate the value because it is used. I don't wear Hanes because Michael Jordan does and I don't play guitars because Kirk Hammet does! That was a good subject to vent on... it's pretty funny that there are people who will buy that though, well let me also throw in for ya that George has got some ocean front property for sale, it's in Arizona.

Default $110K watch

I just got a Christmas flyer in the mail from a local jeweler, in it was a $110K wristwatch. So, $500K seems down right reasonable for a guitar.

i dont understand why hes pricing it so high. nor did i know st. anger was an actually person?

anyway, i liked metallicas new album. its just different. people didnt like them when theyve gone through changes throughout the years, which is what they did with that album though. my guess is since they got all the raw rock out of them theyll go back to how they were before though.

Hey..........Jason Truby, who now plays with POD is a friend of mine. He once played my Yamaha beater. Think I could at least get enough from it to buy a Presentation Series?
