Edited to say: Somehow, when posting this, I left off a few words. I will leave a space between the lost words and the and the shortened version:
Tom is a Dog Surgeon, Matt, and Dog Surgeons tend to se Dogs wherever they look. Speaking of . . . Dogs, mine is named Koal, and he is a good boy! The new guitar is on the bench receiving that last 1 3/8" of binding. Last edited by Bruce Sexauer; 08-13-2020 at 08:26 PM. Reason: TMI |

Say "Hi" to Koal from me.
The current thread in the "General …" section about buying/not buying a used guitar from a household that includes a dog makes me wonder. Does a luthier who has a dog (or worse a cat) lose business? Do people buying a custom build even ask? Reid |

-------------------------------------- The "0" body is completed, and I am moving on to the neck today. Petaluma is moving into a heat wave, the very situation that was why I was going to take this month off as it is a bad time to brace plates. But the body being done means my timing was about right. This body weighs almost exactly 1.5 lb, which is light, even for me. Now that the binding is done, I can tell you it is a terrific drum; very promising. |

Bruce, I am loving what I see and what you’re saying about my new 0. I like a light guitar. My lightest at the moment weighs in at 42.3 oz (1891 Martin 1-21). I don’t expect this 0 to be that light, but I tend to think lighter is generally better. Last, give Koal a scratch behind the ears for me. I miss my Border Terrier (RIP).

My flamenco guitars weigh around that, in pounds they are 2.6, generally, which is 42 or 43 oz. My single 0's can get under 3.5 lb, which I expect this one to be, so probably less than 56 oz.
Here is the not yet carved Bird's Beak. And my male tail w/truss rod: in the guitarvcavity: |

This is looking very familiar to me for some reason. I think you are going to love it Bebo!

Bruce, my FT-0-C in Brazilian Rosewood which is denser than Honduran Mahogany is 54 oz. I suspect this one will be in 50-52 oz. range...

I don’t always have a dog, but when I do, I have a really good dog.
