Calling all Gibson J50/J45 Folk
I have a J50 built in 2002. It came from the factory with an "Active transducer pickup". There is a batter in the guitar and I am assuming the pickup is under saddle but it does not look like the LR Baggs element that they are now using. When I lift the saddle out it looks like foil or a reflective material.
Does anyone know what pickups Gibson was using in this era?? Thanks |

Thanks! I didn't think Gibson was using the Baggs Element in 2002. This stock Fishman pup is OK. I might try to run my Baggs M1a and Sunrise out of the sound hole to see which sounds best to me.
