Default 2019 J45 Banner

I just put some money down on a J45 Banner. The model on the receipt says:

AC4B19VSNH

The salesmen said it was purchased at the 2020 NAMM as leftovers for the Japan market. It looks like a j45 vintage however the finish is glossy and thin. Top is said to be torrified and guitar is light as a feather. I compared it to a Martin dss17 and a J45 standard, and this blew them away. It was as loud as any Martin I have ever played, had thundering bass, and a brilliant topend. To be honest this is what I wanted my 1939 d18a to sound like (long gone)

Can anyone tell me more about this model before I go back to buy it?

If your guitar is the new Heritage series 1942 Banner J45, comparing this map $4999 guitar to the dss-17 is not a fair fight

My mistake, the J45 1942 Banner reissue is mahogany with a 1.72 nut, Southern Jumbo 1942 Banner reissue is the one with rosewood and 1.77 nut.

If that is a new 2020 Gibson Custom Shop Historic Series 1942 J-45 you are a lucky man!

This new 'Historic' series is just starting to trickle into stores now.

I have a 1957 SJ-200 on order - ETA is 4 to 6 months .. could be more!

Have you seen the hard case? - I see Gibson are supplying 'period correct' hard cases for this new series.

the serial number on the guitar Dates it as 2019 so although the model on the receipt say j45 banner 1943 Vintage vintage sunburst. The case is not montage correct, but a black Hardshell with gold Gibson screen logo. The finish is not vos, it is glossy.

I will pick it up this week and report back.

Just curious but does the '57 J200 (which was the model designation) have the second wide angle brace above the soundhole?

Yes and I love it. Just as loud as any Martin I have owned. Very big open sound and I think a lot is due to the extremely light bracing, super thin finish and small bridge.
