Default Lockdown upside!

I just realized it’s a great time for me to grow a beard! Never had one because for 40+ years I’ve been calling on customers for a couple well known food company’s. Never wanted to go in looking scruffy.

But since I’m in isolation and grounded, it’s perfect! The only one who could have an opinion is my wife and I’m pretty invisible to her anyway!

I wish I could join you, but I am incapable of growing facial hair. My wife says her mother has a better beard than I do.

HOWEVER! I don't think I will be going for a haircut in the next few months. I told my wife I'd have a Willie Nelson-like pony tail. She was not favorably impressed.

Got an early start on clearing brush, maybe even do some mowing if the rain holds off so the first mow isn't such a chore. Getting more sleep and playing guitar anytime I want.

Same here. But make sure you buy some beard shampoo-- you don't want stuff from your hands that you've touched getting on it. No joke!

Here I am like a fool - I shaved tonight.

You're right though, it's a great time to grow a beard or goatee and get through that awkward period. Same with growing your hair.

Haha. Growing facial hair is overrated. It’s much easier to maintain the shaven face, or two or three day shave, than keeping a beard or goatee groomed. You’ll see.

Also consider that facial hair impacts the sealing and effectiveness of a facemask.

The honey do list is just getting longer and I'm told I need to go to Wal Mart to get paper towels. SMH.

Watching some great "free" Santana videos on Amazon prime. PS-That's young Michael Shrieve (Woodstock drummer) all growed up...

Yes, it would be a good time to grow a beard. However, my wife would nix the idea.

Beard, Day 10...
Pretty itchy. Realized yesterday I spend a lot of time touching my face. That’s a no-no now. Mrs. Slot seems not to care or notice. Basically feel grungy.

Found Out I have a video conference call next Wednesday with new company leadership. Gonna’ have to come off for that. May not wait so long.

BTW-By the end of this latest 30 day quarantine extension I will have gone almost 10 weeks without a haircut. Yikes!!!

About five years into my enlistment, I was given a "no-shave chit" for a month. Not shaving about drove me insane. I have a goatee (yes, it can be a pain to keep groomed), but a full beard? Never! And I will keep giving myself a haircut whenever necessary. I refuse to pay someone $20 to take electric clippers to my hair when I can do a decent job of that myself.
