Beautiful 2011 Taylor 810E in rare Tobacco Burst with Factory Installed Gotoh 510’s. In 2011 Antique Gold & Black Button Gotoh’s were a $300 upgrade and the Tobacco Burst finish (top only) was a $250 upgrade. It also came with clear protective film installed over the lower part of the sound hole inlay. ES V2 Electronics with 9V battery.

I added Bob Colosi Fancy Fossilized Walrus Ivory Bridge Pins ($190), along with a Bob Colosi Bone Nut and Saddle which cost about $140 for the blanks, shaping and installation. ($330 total)

Taylor quit making traditional non-cutaway Dred’s with electronics for a few years, and this was one of the last built in 2011 before halting production. Originally sold from LA Guitar Sales, and anyone familiar with his shop knows that Ted gets great Taylor’s.

Sound is always subjective, but my first impression playing this was “How can it possibly be this loud?”, especially compared to my other Taylors. Focused Projection, Rich Harmonics, Shimmer, what’s not to like? It really sounds great with Elixir Phosphor Bronze Mediums and I will ship with a fresh set of strings installed.

Condition is close to mint with only very minor B-String fret wear on the first few frets. No dings, scratches, or excuses! (See Pictures) Straight Grain Gloss EIRW Back & Sides, Gloss Sitka Top, Satin Finish Neck, Dark Ebony Fretboard, and EIRW headstock overlay with Cream binding all around which matches perfectly with the Bob Colosi Fancy FWI bridge pins. Absolutely beautiful sound hole and fretboard inlays as well with just the right amount of bling, guaranteed to make you smile every time you open the case!

I have owned this guitar for more than seven years and I have really enjoyed it. The only reason I’m selling is due to unexpected home repairs and back-to-school kid expenses which have depleted my cash reserves.
