Hmm, something I had not considered - holiday themed capos. Get yourself a partial one in red and you'll be all set for Christmas.

Enjoy the gigs!

Best,
Jayne

Nice Thalia (?) capo! I don't have any St Patrick's gigs, but we will likely play "Danny Boy" this afternoon when the uke club performs at an Alzheimer's center. And we just received our third carbon fiber Emerald guitar from Ireland earlier this week, so we are in the spirit.

A hometown friend is in a band called The Emerald Underground. Gigs this afternoon, tonight, 3 tomorrow, 2 more on Sunday. Lots of load-outs in back alleys. He just emailed me that he remembered to wax up his Doc Martens for vomit resistance.

I like the green capo, nice touch.

I'm playing tonight. The wife is bringing Irish Car Bomb cupcakes (Guinness in the cake, Jamesons in the filling, Baileys in the frosting).

I'm pretty sure my friends are just coming for the cupcakes.

Green Jewel is on the Vibrolux. Green shirt. Using Candy Apple strat and Vintage White tele because alas, I don't own a green guitar! M-36 should I be moved in the ackh!coustic direction. Should be lots of...drinkers tonight and tomorrow night.

Have fun and be careful. It isn't a story if you don't get home safely to tell it.

No colour theme for me, but will be Irish based for my local pub singalong tonight.

Back velvet band
Irish Rover If me strumming can keep up
Dirty old town
Etc.

Was playing last year when a fairly inebriated Irish lady asked if I knew that "
' Fields of At Henry" song. This is not a spelling typo , she actually said " At Henry"

So, of course, that is now what the song is called when it gets introduced.......

I went to a mostly Irish high school. I played snare drum in the school pipe band (yeah, kilts and all) and St. Patrick's Day was our Super Bowl. I got Irished to death for four years and vowed, when I later started doing guitar gigs, I was never going to play the Unicorn Song or any of that stuff. So as an entertainer, I sit out St. Pats Day and all that goes with it.

However, I do highly recommend Irish Kevin's Bar in Key West.
