What are you reading?
I have the worst time deciding which book to read next. But I do read...I and as I have a newborn in the home and can't always play guitar when I'm watching him.
As a sort of non-decision, I picked Moonraker off the shelf yesterday, one of the Ian Fleming originals. I've read the series at least twice in my teens and early 20s. What about you guys? |

I’m reading a novel by Kristin Hannah, who also wrote the fantastic war novel, Nightingale. This book, The Great Alone, is set in the wilds of Alaska. And it’s pretty great too. The Vanishing Box is #4 in a pretty good British crime series written by Elly Griffiths.

Just finished re-reading Celestine Prophecy and Tenth Insight by James Redfield. Read them both when they first came out ('93 and '96) and thought it as time to revisit.

"Black" from Ted Dekker. Even creepier considering the world we are living in right now. It is book one of a three part series.

If you like British murder mysteries, I’ve stumbled across a really fine author in that genre. He’s South African, named Rennie Airth. All his books are available on Amazon, Kindle or paper.

Just finished True Grit by Charles Portis. Always wanted to read it and with Portis dying a couple weeks ago finally did. I was curious which was truer to the book, the ‘69 version with John Wayne or the Cohen Brothers” version. The Duke by a long shot.
I am about half through Caging Skies by Christine Leunens. This is the book JoJo Rabbit was based on. I am very fond of the film. The book is quite different from the film. In the movie JoJo was ten. In the book JoJo is a horny seventeen year old vet who lost his arm and was disfigured in the service of the Der Fuehrer. A key character in the film was eleven year old Yorki who was wise beyond his years and “cannot seem to die”. The kid is not in the book and at least for the first half, no Captain K. Proving to be a real slog to get through it. |

Caught up on The Expanse Series (read all of them twice actually). Waiting for the 9th book later this year.
Also waiting for the first full length Murderbot novel in May. In the mean time, since getting hooked on 'Bosch' on Amazon Prime, I've started reading the books. I'm on book two, and there are 20 in the series. Only bummer is that they are fairly expensive for the Kindle version ($10 a pop). Good reads none the less, and are helping pass this sheltering thing when I'm not playing my guitars. D
