Default Emerald X7 Fan fret?

Has anyone tried a fan fret on an Emerald X7? If so, what was your impression?

Thanks,
Dave

I haven’t.

But, based on my experience with a fan fret X20 (25”-26”), I think it might work rather well, particularly if you use open tunings. The fan fret option on the X7 is 24”-25”, and that extra inch on the lower end would firm up a low D quite nicely.

I have one guitar with fanned frets, an electric...it has normal frets at the cowboy chord end, and then the fanning happens more at the heel. But I really don't notice much difference, to be honest.
