Default "Finally" Original Fingerstyle Tune

Hey all,

Wanted to share this here for a couple reasons - firstly that there's a wonderful amount of instrumental guitar here - which I LOVE! And second, to get some opinions on the mix/sound quality of this tune. This was recorded by Kim Person, who worked on a majority of Tommy Emmanuel's early work and most of Stephen Bennett's catalogue. The guitar is an Alpine/Walnut SJ from Marc Beneteau which is less than a year old, so a little crisp still.

“Finally” is kind of a melodic “feel-good” tune that I think is meant to be an equal celebration of the milestones and small victories we experience in life. I had saved a year or so for this guitar then waited 9 months for it to be completed and the day I got it I wrote about 2/3 of this tune, so there's sort of a cool connection between the song and this Beneteau specifically.

Hope it resonates. Feel free to share and leave your thoughts below or on the youtube page. "Likes", comments or subscriptions are very much appreciated.

Hi Dustin! Well, once again you're leaving us a little speechless out here!
Just a great tune with complexity, rhythm, changing time and pace.......and oh, those stretches and precise harmonics!! LOL! I especially like the little tonal change at 2:53......just a treat for the ear right in there.
The recording is clear and present and sounds wonderful. As the relatively young very talented pro that you are, we are so fortunate to have you here on AGF!!
Great job!

Great tune well played Dustin! An interesting meeting of different musical styles, old and modern. Just subbed so I don't miss any new stuff from you.

Oh yeah, the guitar sounds GORGEOUS :-) My kind of guitar.

Recording sounding really good through my studio monitors.

Very glad to hear you enjoyed the Beneteau, and the tune I don't feel quite right playing this song on other guitars in my arsenal as I think the tone of the Walnut sounds focused and "woody" for the busier sections. May have to get over that one of these days but for now "Finally" is reserved for the Benny
