Default "Softness at Dawn" 12 string original instrumental

Hello folks!
Just "messing" this a.m. ( I should be practicing!) and found an older track of this tune and thought I'd post. The tune was included on the CD "Open Doerr" a few years ago. This track is just a little slower paced than the original and I thought I liked it a little better! Played on my Martin D12-20 in DADGAD...........the picture is recent from this fall,at dawn, somewhere off the coast of Nova Scotia.
Hope you enjoy!
Fred

I really like that, Fred!

Very pretty, nice melody mixed in with a light harmonic accompaniment. A very pleasant piece, very well recorded!

I am such a sucker for a 12-string! Gee, that sounded nice!

That was very pretty, for me, one of my favorite tunes you have posted.

Thank you.

Wow, I love this. The 12 string sounds like two guitars, not that jangly mess some 12s can sound like. Great stuff Fred.

Hi Glenn! Yeah, the 12 strings!!!! LOL! Me too! Of all my guitars, my wife likes the 12......can't blame her!
Thanks for the kind words.....this tune is one of my favorites.....I recall it took some time to get the kind of single take (no punch in's) I was looking for. Lot of relying on hit the high G string to carry some of the melody I was seeking.
Thanks again, Glenn!

So I am in my "studio" downstairs playing your awesome tune on my laptop thru my guitar set up (2 QSC CP8s etc..) and it sounded real good. Played it 3 times in a row. My wife is upstairs and she says "is that ever pretty .... did you just come up with that?" She thought it was me playing my Martin 12. I almost said, "Yeah, thanks for the compliment", but didn't . She said to pass on her congrats. So congrats on a lovely tune indeed.

That is gorgeous, Fred! Wonderful tune, and I will definitely revisit this. Iíve learned from you in that my 12 string pretty much lives in DADGAD now.
