I appreciate your thoughts Randy.

I absolutely love the tone of dreadnought guitars. I personally find them uncomfortable to play however. Maybe you find the RainSong dreads comfortable because the backs are rounded? It certainly doesn't hurt, and even Martin has begun to chamfer the backs of their guitars on select models.

Myself among others have spoken our distaste for the N2 and NS neck. If you find yourself in cowboy chord territory then yes, the neck is oddly comfortable. However, the new RainSong necks would be the last necks I would recommend to someone who plays with a capo, or does any fast legato type runs like I do. I may be in the minority but I'm passing on some great deals to be had on RainSongs because of that neck. I love RainSong guitars tonally and aesthetically. So this is unfortunately a boring game

Thanks. Maybe that's it because I'm most home on the range of cowboy chord territory. Yeeha....

If the 14 fret Vintage is comparable in tone to the 12 fret Hybrid, I think that is quite a break through for RainSong. My experience with all the 12 fret versions has convinced me that they are their best sounding guitars.

Maybe your signature needs to be fixed to H-DR1100NST?

Congrats on the new Rainsong guitar. The idea of CF has been growing on me, as I travel down to Costa Rica often and I’m hesitant to take my wood guitars with me. I could buy a decent CF and possibly leave it down here, so I can avoid all the airline transport, as well.

An advantage that's oft overlooked is that Rainsongs are incredibly light. The Access Stage III hardshell cases that Rainsong uses are, on the other hand, kind of heavy at 10.9 lbs. I picked up a lightweight SKB TSA-approved molded case for my new Vintage, and it became a very lightweight combination should I need/desire to travel with it...

RainSong has the lightest guitars and about the heaviest cases...

Congrats

Why can’t I find these on Rainsong’s website?

It seems that half their product line is showing up as discontinued now.

The new models have not hit MF or Sam Ash. The website's main goal has got to be to flush existing inventory, in particular discontinued models, out of the sales channel. But they are a small operation and maybe their web subcon has not gotten to it.

MF still has the $1299 Parlor in-stock and it's 15% off at the moment if you call in your order.

As much as I love Rainsongs, I think they do a poor job of utilizing the various possibilities on their website. There is no mention that one can special order their guitars without factory electronics, tobacco sunburst or with a Rainsong gig bag which I was recently able to do. As my own H-DR1100NST indicates, one can obviously acquire 12-fret dreads as well. As Kramster indicated above, Rainsong has about the lightest guitars but couples them with the heaviest cases which makes little sense to me. I know that some would be ok with a substantial gig bag while others insist on a proper hardshell case. That, to me, is another area where Rainsong could offer the lighter, less expensive (I assume) gig bag as standard and the heavier hardshell case as a somewhat more expensive option such as Emerald does...
