That is lovely.
I tend to like baroque music on steel-string guitar. Even so, when I saw the thread, I was not expecting that particular guitar to work so well! Your playing deserves much of the credit for it, but that guitar's tone (somewhat compressed and without much sustain) really suits the music. Very nicely done! |

Very nice!
Beautiful playing, and the deep tone suits the music well. Now inspired, I'm off to find a copy of Fingerpicking Bach! Edit: Surprisingly there are two versions the Maurice and the Hal Leonard. Do you remember which you played from? thanks Mike |

Sounds pretty good, Jack
I have been tempted to a one of those Jim Dandy guitars a few times. Thanks |

I would say you did a great job if the master himself complemented this!

I was noticing some of your other videos with the guitarraylee. Are you still playing that and has it been a worthwhile purchase? Is it super cramped or play like a guitar ar capo 5? Thanks!

That was simply fantastic. I have no classical background, and not very much of it *really* grabs me, but that was awesome.
I've been wanting to learn "Fur Elise" for some time now, but have been too intimidated to tackle it. :/ One question, though- what did you use to record this? I'm interested in finding a combination that is both *simple* and sounds good. My laptop cannot handle even relatively light workload at times, so I would prefer to find something that didn't require any editing afterwards, but.. I think it's obvious that the best results can be had from running video and audio separately. anyway, just curious. bravo!

I recorded the audio with a pair of Line Audio CM3 mics, and the video with a DSLR. I also sometimes use my Zoom H1 for recording audio. If you're looking for a simple solution you could consider the Zoom Q2n or Q4n. Kind regards, Jack |

Thanks so much for the reply! Yes, currently I'm likely going to go ahead and get the Q2n-4k. Depending on how I like it, hopefully that will either be enough for my uses, or I will move on to something else.
Either way, it was very good! Thanks again Scott
