Lightbulb Which bigger body?

I currently own a Taylor 324, and a Martin 000-28. I'm looking into purchasing a larger body(dreadnought/jumbo), and I'm hoping for your suggestions and feedback. I really love Martin guitars, but am open to anything. The four guitars I've been looking at are Martin D-18/28/35, Gibson J-45.

If you want Martin tone in a bigger body size than 000 but smaller than a dreadnaught, I would seriously look at Martin's 0000 size, also called M.

The M-36, same 0000 size but with OM body depth, or look for an 0000-28H. I saw Elderley has these custom made, and have a couple of used ones on their site for very reasonable prices.

Their J model is M-size but deeper, still very comfortable. J-40 or an older custom model J-41 Special, or if you have deeper pockets, find HJ-38, all great guitars that can keep up with Dreadnaughts.

The new (2012) D-18's are great.

It sounds like you've got four great guitars you're thinking of. Another option is an HD-28 in that Standard series. Have you played that one?

Default Bigger body?

It depends what you're looking for, but Goodall Standard's have great tone, volume, separation, just about everything you could want.

It's an investment, but you'll love everything about it.

Just my less than humble opinion.

You own a Taylor 324 - if you like it, think 526e/528e...
You own a Martin 000-28 - if you like it, think 0000-28, M-36/38, J-40, or Grand J-35...

I believe it is time to shop and play some dreadnaughts. (FUN!)

Go play them all, and choose the individual guitar that gives you the most inspiration.

But if it's me, I'd get the J-45 for the sake of tonal variety in my collection. I also just really like the gibson scale length.

Go Irish!

You could try something completely different, say a McIlroy A or Lowden F, both of which I'd classify as mini-jumbos. Loud when you need it, sensitive when you don't. Resonant and great for alt tunings and open string styles. Not easy to find though. Paramount guitars usually has a couple of each.
