Default New Original: "DANCER'S INTERLUDE"

Hi folks!
Well, here's one that's been "marinating" for a while....recorded less than a week ago. Took a while to find the phrasing/dynamics and tweaks my mind was looking for!
Played on my Doerr in CGCGCD capo2. The image: A dancer gracefully "floating" through their routine...lost in the moment while attaining their highest level of performance and artistry.
This evening I learned that a favorite cousin has passed away tonight.......this tune is bringing some comfort to a few of my relatives......couldn't ask for more....RIP, Betty!
Hope you enjoy,
Best,
Fred

Hi Fred,

I am sorry to hear about the loss of your favorite cousin. Your piece, Dancer's Interlude, really reflects what's been going through your mind lately. Very thoughtful and ethereal. Beautifully done -- loved the harmonics at the end and that gentle ending. Quite emotional, really...

Take care Fred.

Thank you so much, Glenn! I'm really pleased that you liked this one.......and, as you point out....the harmonics....the gentle ending.....these are little items that came upon me over time as I played and played this tune and let it come through me, so to speak. It's a testimony to giving it time, no rush....without that those wouldn't be in there.
Thanks for the kind thoughts and good wishes, Glenn!!
All the best,
Fred

So sorry about your cousin Fred.

That was a beautify piece and the Doerr really shines. I really liked the "colors" you used.

Thank you so much, Barry! YES, all credit to Tom Doerr for building an incredible guitar. The tone is amazing, and the guitar offers what we all know as "fat" trebles which many are seeking for these kinds of pieces.
Thank you for the condolences........was lucky to have spent a little time with her this summer.
All the best,
Fred

s11: thank you so much for your kind thoughts.....so glad you enjoyed this piece. Sometimes the wait is worth it and I'm glad I resisted the temptation to jump on a recording before the finer details were ready.
All the best to you,
Fred

Fred,

You have posted yet another beautiful piece. Sorry for your loss. That is never an easy thing, especially a favorite person.

Tony,
Thank you so much for your kind words! I like that this tune in small ways has become associated (in my mind) with the loss of this cousin. I really appreciate your taking a listen to this one.

Hi Fred,

I’ve been offline for bit, but glad I came back to hear this. Such beautiful playing, I can picture your dancer, and a wonderful tribute to your cousin. Music has power this way. Very nicely done!
