Isn't Music Store (a very BIG music emporium, also operating online as musicstore.de) based in Koln (Cologne)?

Im about 45 minutes outside Cologne. MusicStore is the one to see. It’s huge and makes the Guitar Center in my old home town look tiny. It has a decent acoustic level. Many mediocre guitars but a nice Taylor room and plenty of nice Gibson’s, quite a few Martins and a handful of nice Guilds. Some of the stuff that is not ready available in the US is fun to see. Some Sigmas and Tangelwoods I believe.

I bought my J45 from there in 2016.
The electric level was fun to see too. There is a cafe and restaurant on site as well. Pretty cool place.

Other than that i haven’t heard of too much around.

Just out of curiosity, is there any difference between the prices charged in their showroom and the ones charged in the "online store"?

Last year I was there and did not like it at all. Was mainly looking for drums -- but they don't let you play them (acoustic ones). The guitars which would have been a bit more interesting were locked away.

Seeing in your sig what you already have I doubt the visit will be worth the time...

I'm also not aware of a good store with acoustic guitars. There's one in Wuppertal, which is not that far, but I have never been there.

Guitar Basar, run by the legendary German guitarist Peter Finger (who also builds guitars), usually has interesting builders such as Poljakoff:

It's about 1,5 hours from Cologne...

Beyers or Guitar Point.

Tommy’s in Viersen was awesome, with an incredible variety of high end makes; but it’s out of business.

If you have time and/or transportation; The Fellowship of Acoustics is the best shop in the general area of Northern Germany / The Netherlands. They will deal, where Germans are more “take it or leave it” oriented; and they have no problem dropping the VAT (they used my Stateside address for billing records).

A guitar store downtown, but it's nothing exceptional. It's an outlet for the larger store outside of town.

Yes, The Fellowship of Acoustics is fantastic, a whole house full of great guitars. If you have time and a car, make a trip to the Guitar Basar and from there to The Fellowship of Acoustics, both more or less the same direction from Cologne and not too far away.
