Default Tales from social distancing quarantine

Since I am working from home and the commute is easy, and I can't go out anyway I decided to spend some time with my Overloud TH-U standalone program to use with my recording package.

After two days of futzing about with it, twiddling knobs, adjusting virtual dials and otherwise taming the digital beast, I got a few usable tones I guess. But the return on investment was extremely low compared with picking up and acoustic and just playing it.

Lesson learned.

Years back I got into recording and I had the latest and greatest. I worked at it and studied it and played with it and I learned a great deal. But it never felt creative or intuitive to me. Now I can flip the switch and reroute the signal flow and have at it. But I don't. It's not all that much fun to me. I'd rather pick up my guitar and play. And experience some sonic wonderland I never visited before.

That is it, exactly. How someone can put in hours and hours building presets I'll never know. I've been to more exciting tax audits.

This really wasn't a recording thread.
