Default Which would you repair first? Side or Mortise?

I don't know what they did to this Martin . . . don't wanna know. But there is a side crack along bass side upper bout that has little or no separation. Most of the damage is to the sides and top around the mortise. Question is, which repair would you address first and why. Side crack or mortise area. I will repair crack with cleats in a traditional way. The other with clamps.

Pictures are necessary to provide any meaningful input.

Mortise? What mortise? The rabbet ("ledge") for the bindings?

Google Photo's are problematic for posting on message boards becasue they must use some sort of time stamp in the URL created for the photo that changes and then your photo is gone. But you should be able to create a link to the photo's in your album and paste that here.

The ones you posted above are not showing up.
