Default Scrolling software or foot pedal page turner?

What do you guys prefer as a way to view PDF music charts larger than opne screen on an ipad? An app that has a scrolling feature or a footpedal that allows you to flip pages? If you do use an app for this, which one? I have lots of PDF music charts I want to read on my ipad, but squeezing an entire song onto one page sometimes makes it tough to read with my 50 yr old eyes. So I see it as having 2 choices:

1- use a music sheet PDF app that incorporates a variable and saveable scrolling speed.

2- use a bluetooth foot pedal to turn pages for you with your foot.

I would prefer option one if possible, since it allows for less additional equipment to hook up and carry around.

Option 1 breaks down when you have a cross page section that repeats. For 2-page scores, landscape mode will show side-by-side (forScore), although still harder to read.

Easy fix - just write it out again.

A scrolling page makes me feel like I have to follow it. I like to use the iPad as a safety net rather than a score I’m reading. My charts have the verses, chorus and bridge identifiable at a glance through indentation. I put the chords at the right margin; once for each section.

Using this method has meant that one page is enough for most of my charts. I do have an AirTurn that I control with Boss pedals. But to be perfectly honest, I haven’t even charged the thing in quite awhile. For me the options are: Fit it on one page > page turner > scrolling. YMMV.

I much prefer a pedal. Scrolling, so often the page is not where I need it.
