Hi Vance,

Great job on this great old song! It is definitely a song that makes you think! And it's a rather prescient song for Jim Croce considering that he did not have long to live when he wrote that song.

Thanks for the input. I have many Jim Croce Songs in the hopper, but it will take time for me to get them recorded and uploaded.(as time allows) I'll post them here on AGF as I get them. Jim Croce is my all time favorite Singer Song writer.
Thank you for comments.

Brilliant again! You're a great singer and player too. Btw, what's the guitar on a stand at the back, on the left?

There are singers I listen to learn to play the songs, others just for listening. Jim Croce is one that I find myself doing both, the moment I started listening to him, I haven't stopped so far. And usually I don't care much for some artists cover, but in someway Jim Croce's songs, no matter who's doing it, sounds like an original, like it's everybody's music. Hope I could express myself

I "discovered" Jim Croce because of an English teacher, who showed me Bad Leroy Brown and pointed out the "baddest man in town" part, which is grammatically wrong but cool anyway

That's not a guitar, It's a Gold Tone EBM-5+ 5 string electric banjo. Some places I play I do a good bit of Bluegrass as well as some Eagles songs that include banjo.

Thank you John(fellow Virginian)
I lived in Northern VA during the decade of the 70's when I was learning these Jim Croce songs. Fond memories of a not so stressed out place to live.
Jim Croce, John Denver, James Taylor, Dan Fogelberg, Eagles were my motivation in music. (kinda still are)

Excellent.

I've seen many strum out the chords while attempting to sing but you are the first I've seen to integrate both a fingerstyle version along with a great vocal!
