That Les Paul is long gone. This was back in the mid eighties. I have had another Les Paul since 1997 though.

That's a tough one. How was it stolen?

Dru...I was doing sound & lights for a band in Eugene OR and they hired another guy who was...er...not a good person, who saw me with the guitar & knew how to get to it. Everyone knew about it but no-one could prove anything or was willing to get involved. If I had done about it what I really wanted to do I would be in prison to this day.

I heard some years later that the guy ended badly, but my ax was still gone.

The used T style Tom Anderson semi hollow at GC many years ago. The most vibrant, alive guitar I have ever played. I still kick myself over that one. I should never have left that guitar behind. After I retire I think I may treat myself to an Anderson electric.

Nice guitars! When did you get rid of them?

57, if i remember, les paul jr. that a buddy owned. at the time he offered it to me, so long ago that now it would be a steal, i wasn't able to financially expend the money.

Gibson L5S. At the time it was my first go round playing guitar, for about a year and a half. My ex-wife got jealous and demanded I sell it, effectively causing me to stop playing for over twenty five years. Loved that guitar...

My '74 Les Paul Deluxe Goldtop. I sold it to make mortgage during darker times. I had it for 25 years.

But...I try to never look back. Their is some much more to explore and discover. I've got great memories and gigs past with that Les Paul, but I there are more that I want to try and move forward with.

No regrets.

A silver Gibson Flying V, bought at a pawn shop in the 80's for 200$, had the pickups rewound and later sold it for 400$. Wish I had that one back.

Traded it in - in a deal with some other gear, for a new 2013 SG Standard (which I love), but shoulda kept both..

Dru, I lost those guitars 30 years ago. I recorded an album with the LP and gigged the 335 for about 8 years. Marriage, college, and kids were the end of my Vintage gear. I lost three Tweed Fenders and my HD 28 as well. It was a bad year.

Those Gibson SG faded / special / SGJ / Tribute are great guitars. Same with the Les Pauls.
