This came with a guitar I bought and I don't think I'll use it. It's broken in so it is nice and soft. There is a little darkening on the leather where it would rest on your pant leg. It attaches at the end pin and with a suction cup on the bottom side as shown. You can adjust the location of the rest the same way you adjust the length of a normal strap, and you can remove or reinstall it in about 15 seconds.
