Default 2017 Waterloo WL-S Deluxe - SOLD

Up for sale is a Waterloo WL-S Deluxe. These guitars are the top end of Waterloo's line, which recreates classic pre-war catalog guitars without any of the issues that go with them.

The WL-S is their take on a ladder braced Oscar Schmidt made Stella. They are made with spruce tops and cherry back and sides, a nice soft V shaped neck, rosewood fretboard and an elegent ebony pyramid bridge. The deluxe version takes it one step further and includes fancy Galiano style inlays, a bound neck, fancy rosette and marquetry, but most importantly a very thin varnish finish. The Deluxe takes the raw and rough feeling Waterloo line and refines it just a bit.

This particular guitar is in great shape except for some fingerpick wear on the top below the soundhole. Ive included pictures of the wear below, but if youd like any others from a different angle or lighting, please let me know.

Parlor sized 14” lower bout
Scale length 24 7/8”
Spruce top
Cherry back and sides
Hand rubber varnish finish
Mahogany neck
Rosewood fingerboard
Fancy fingerboard inlays
Ebony bridge
Bound top, back and sound hole
Fancy wood marquetry
Bone nut and saddle
Open gear 3 on a plate tuners
Original Hardshell case included

Default Neck?

Would you describe it as a thick chunky neck?

I would not describe it as a thick chunky neck. It seems to be a bit more of a modern soft v shape, and is extremely comfortable to wrap your thumb around and grab those low bass strings.
