Default Release Day! Hymns Album Announcement, Video

Hello AGF, just wanted to drop a quick note about my upcoming release. It is a compilation of twelve hymns and original arrangements.

This has been done by many gifted guitarists (Pete Huttlinger, Bob Minner, Doug Young, to name only a few), all of whom are better players than me, but I wanted to do some more "obscure" hymns, some that my parents would sing with us, or some that I picked up on from church.

Here is the track list:
Stand Up, Stand Up for Jesus • And Can It Be • Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus / Softly and Tenderly • Standing on the Promises • There Is a Fountain • What a Friend We Have in Jesus • The Old Rugged Cross • This Is My Father's World • Trust and Obey • God Will Take Care of You • I Surrender All • I Love to Tell the Story

Doug Young mixed and mastered the tracks, so you know the audio quality is superb! Grateful for his participation in the project.

Here is a preview of one of the tracks, God Will Take Care of You.

The release goal is May 1st. You will be able to find it wherever you stream music.
The way you can most support this project is to purchase a CD, which will be $8 shipped. Please message or email me if you want to pre-order one: [email protected]

P.S. For any gearheads out there, the recording rig was fairly simple - spaced pair of Haun 440s running into a Neve Portico, then a centered AKG 414 into a Grace 101, all through a Steinberg UR44 into Ableton.

Hi Luke.

Gave the preview track a full listen. Very nice.

When you described the hymns as obscure, I thought to myself, no the aren't. Then I remembered I am old, and these are the hymns I cut my teeth on a lifetime ago. CCM is nice, but part of me misses the obscure ones.

Happy Release Day!
