Stonebridge/Furch D33-SR
I just bought a 2012 model off of eBay (from a music store liquidation, according to the sell), and it is AMAZING! It didn't have electronics, so after much research, I put the K&K Pure Mini in it, which is also amazing.
My primary guitar prior to this was an old school Breedlove with an LR Baggs Anthem system. I sold my Taylor 614CE to get this and couldn't be happier. I constantly get compliments on the Breedlove when I'm playing around town. I didn't think a $100 pickup could do this Stonebridge justice, but boy I was wrong. It sounds so incredible plugged in - the sound guy was swooning, and I have a new primary acoustic! Unplugged, I'd rather have this than a Martin D28. It doesn't have the low end boominess, but I think that's my preference - especially since my Breedlove has as much low end as anyone could want. I don't really have a purpose in posting other than to give Stonebridge/Furch a huge endorsement. I did as much research as I could before pulling the trigger on eBay, and there wasn't a whole lot of commentary on these guys since they don't have much of a presence in the U.S.

Hi Rik-d…
I'll ask. They were actually branded Stonebridge (same company/builder) and they were OM32SMDB and G25LRC. |

Just as an aside, the owner of my local store told me the Stonebridge name was going away and it was just going to be Furch from now on....

Don't have to sell us on Stonebridge! These are incredible guitars and at their price point they are quite simply, unbeatable. Enjoy it !

Congrats on the d33sr. I think I know the one. Was it listed new-old stock, and the price was...... fantastic.
I'm always blown away by their guitars and always surprised that they are not more popular in the states. I hear in Asia they are really big.

Congrats on your new Stonebridge(Furch) D33-SR. Excellent choice.
My dream guitar would be a Furch/Stonebridge G23CR-C or G24SR along with a Lowden F32.

Sales have apparently plummeted in the UK since they are now sold as Furch guitars, rather than Stonebridge (according to a former Stonebridge dealer). I personally prefer the FF logo to the S on the headstock. I have a Furch OM 22 CM, which is lovely (and 2 wonderful Furch-made Stanfords). I guess it'll take a while for the public to get used to the name change.
