Social Distancing from the front porch series
I was sitting on my front porch Sunday evening, enjoying a cocktail and my guitar and decided, on a lark, I would reach out to my friends in the new era of Social Distancing with a remote performance.
The rule was (and is): one take, warts and all, just as if we are sitting together on the porch(of course I reserve the right not to post if I blow it completely, don't want to waste anyone's time  ).I started with Bill Wither's "Use Me". Monday evening rolled around and I had been working on The Who's "The Kids Are Alright", so I decided WTH and threw it out there. Tuesdays' performance, Elvis Costello's "Cheap Rewards". Humpday, Bowie's "Golden Years". Thursday, The Reverend Al Green's "Take Me To The River". It's been fun and the friends who've replied are enjoying it and are encouraging me to keep 'em coming.
