As soon as they announce a Roadtrip model I suspect I'll have to get one for the wife.

I have been on the road for a month with OF660 and still have a few more weeks before getting back home to play Cordoba cadet I paid $200 blemished a few months ago. While I couldn't be happier with OO660, I do miss nylon strings and am not sure if I could wait long enough to hear what forum members think of it before committing. After all it does overlap in many ways what OF660 provides for the most part.
Regardless, I am curious why OC660 and their wood version seem to have their saddle closer to the rear than OF660. Would it be purely to accommodate a longer string length despite what appears to be not the optimal sweet spot? I would love to know more about their thought process on the their design including the sound hole. Any speculations or inside infos?

They told me at NAMM that they did a lot of experimenting with everything including the sound hole...they are very happy with it.

As far as the crossover OF..... my hybrid phase has matured with the custom 000C-Nylon based all magogganie Martin I had built....
Or I'd be out (another) $1300...... phew.

Oscar;

I can't believe you're hanging on that relic of the past. What a burden; controlling temperature and humidity, afraid to move it from it's home base, constantly changing. Must be sentiment (or sediment).

Congrats! So did you get one of the 20 "reserve" guitars or do you get the impression they are going into full production based on initial response? i look forward to your thoughts once you have it

It's a year old and I paid quite a bit of money to have it made... (before I was enlightened). Therefore I love it. Actually, I really like playing it and it sounds incredibly nice. The maggogany is, I think, more stable than spruce and I don't baby it. Short of leaving it in a hot car it has to run with the fibers in the herd. If it falls apart I'll make a picture frame out of it.
