Default Yamaha's New Stagepas 1K MKII and DXL1K Column PAs

Saw this today

https://www.gearnews.com/yamaha-stag...ay-pa-systems/

Seems like one has more inputs / mixing capabilities and the other hasn't. Kinda stupid of them to release two nearly identical units with nothing much to differentiate between them. Could've done an 8" version instead.

I think that Stagepas 1k MK2 will be a real winner. Will be good competition for the EV Evolve systems. Still MSRP of like $2000 puts this forever out of my budget and needs.

Good specs: 170 degree, 12" sub, 125dB, comes with nice cover, old school Yamaha mixer with knobs on front, no need for menu diving,44 Lbs sub unit kind of heavy.

The StagePas 1K MkII is a Powered PA system, while the DXL1K is just a loudspeaker.
They can be paired to double your output, with the StagePas acting as the master with EQ and effects ect, and the DXL as a stereo receiver.

Listed on sale at Sweetwater for $1232.99 until 10.02.23.

Same price on Amazon, with no information about how long the price is good for.

I got mine from Sweetwater the day before they went on sale, and got it for $1,148.08.

Sweetwater usually gives 15% off, but you gotta ask.
