Don Henley - Drivin' With Your Eyes Closed

"Some guys were born to Rimbaud
Some guys breathe Baudelaire
Some guys just got to go and put their rockets everywhere"

Sounded in the 80's like:
"Some guys were born to ramble, some guys breathe bottled air."

Until just a few years ago, I thought the lyrics to “Groovin’” were, “Life would be ecstasy/You and me and Leslie/Groovin’”

I never thought too much about it. I figured it was early polyamory or something. Who’s Leslie? She (or he, I guess) isn’t mentioned anywhere else in the song. But . . . whatever.

Wasn’t I surprised to learn that the actual lyric is “Life would be ecstasy/You and me endlessly/Groovin’”

It’s gotta be the worst misaccent in songwriting history, endLESSly.

Funny, used to play Billie Jean. Years later we learned our horn section, singing the background parts, would sing.

Chili Beans, Not My Lunch.

It worked so well, no one ever knew.

True- but you can develop Kodachrome as monochrome, to get black and white negatives, if you want to save the images. Then you could hand-color them with dyes and a brush, and call it Art.

I just watched Asteroid City. You'd like it. It's a love letter to overexposed Kodachrome and vintage cameras. In the credits: "Shot on Kodak film"

For the longest time (like 30 years), I thought Madonna's La Isla Bonita song contained something about liking a bagel or something about a bagel.

Only recently, after picking up the ukulele/guitar did I start to pay more attention to music all around me. And when this song came up on the radio, I told my wife that I've always wondered why she's singing about a bagel...

I still don't know what word the "bagel" is supposed to be, but I now know that it isn't a bagel. Come to think of it, I'll look up the lyrics now. Oh, the power of the Internet.

EDIT: Got it. It's the very first line: "Last night I dreamt of San Pedro". I've always thought it was "Last night I dreamt up some bagel"
