Very interesting take on those pieces. I liked hearing traditional hymns played in a way that I had never heard before.

Thank you Marcel - very enjoyable

The history behind the song was enlightening, thank you for that.

I visited your channel and listened to ' Classical Gas '
while there.
That is one of the best traditional versions of Mason William's piece
I've ever heard.
Did you attempt to play it exactly note-for-note as the original
or did you add some of your own arranging ?

Your ' timing ' on the piece was superb. It is not easy to get it right.

( I prefer the traditional versions rather than modern interpretations )

I was a teenager watching the Smother's Brother's TV program
when Mason Played that originally.
It totally captivated me.

Hi Larry,
yes I tried to play Classical Gas exactly right. Normally I'd like to arrange, but this is such an original an excellent piece....I dared not to touch that...!!

I thought it was all original - Sir you have done an excellent job !
...the best I've heard in all these years.

I actually prefer listening to your version because it is only with guitar
rather than with an orchastra as Mason William's performed it on tv.
Listening to you is like listening to him,

A couple of years ago I leaned the intro -
but that's the easy part -
if I can still find the TAB maybe I'll work on it some more.
At least I would have your video to look at for help

What source did you use to learn it ?

- Larry

Thanks Larry!
I learned this piece from my teacher when I was in my teens. So I'm playing it forever now.
I have it on sheet. Here's an idea:

I can teach you through video's step by step...
