Default Preamp ID

I just picked up a used guitar built in '94. I was told it has a Fishman Matrix pickup. It is active with a 9V battery mounted on the neck block and the preamp is mounted to the endpin jack (no controls). I was able to get an inspection mirror in to view the preamp, but could not see any identification marks. It is a small black rectangular box about
1.5 inches long, 1 inch wide, and about 1/2" thick. It looks to have an hex screw on either side, I assume to get to the internals.

I have no idea when the electronics were installed. I did a search online to see if I could find a pic of a Fishman that looks like this with no luck. Is it by chance an older Fishman Matrix setup, or something else perhaps? I don't want to pull it out of the guitar so I thought I'd ask here. Thx

It sounds exactly like the Fishman Matrix I had installed in my Guild until I damaged the shielding on the under saddle element...

The battery was held by a small metal clamp glued (I think) onto the neck block. The pickup element wires were soldered to the end pin preamp whereas nowadays I think they are attached with screw posts. The modern version has the controls that sit under the top by the sound hole.

It was a good system at the time and if I had been daring I would have bought a new pickup element and done the soldering but I was interested in the K&K Pure Mini and went that route instead.
