Two Gibson J-45 Questions
What year did the bat wing pick guard appear and what year did the adjustable bridge appear on the Gibson J-45. . Thank you.

I believe the pickguard appeared in 1955. The ADJ bridge appeared in 1956 as an option and became standard issue in 60 or 61.

The other big change, perhaps the biggest, was also in 1955, when Gibson went from scalloped to straight bracing.

Correct, and the nut width went from 1 11/16" to 1 9/16" some time in 1965.
