Default Pickguard adhesive

I made a pickguard (wooden) for a friend and need to adhere it to the guitar. I know stewmac sells pickguard adhesive sheets but was wondering if this is a common product that stewmac has repurposed. I love Stewmac, but they kill you on shipping if you have a small order.

Would love to find a locally available alternative if possible.

Thanks.

Call them. They are a small big company. I bet they will adjust for a Sheet of adhesive. They have the 3m product #'s on the site as I recall. Maybe an auto parts store?

You were right! Thanks for the suggestion. They charged me a $3 handling fee as a one time exception, rather than their normal $6.80 minimum shipping charge.
