Default Blues Run the Game...

Sorry if this has been posted before, but does anyone have tablature for John Renbourn's version of this song? I've been working on it for the last year and have currently created a version that's a mix of Bert Jansch's, with Jackson C. Frank's played in a faster Renbourn way. But it'd be great to actually look at John's version too. Cheers.

Impressive! I admit that I need to spend more time training my ears. I've always been a much better sight reader than learning by ear.... Sigh...

Thank you for the compliment.

I'm the opposite as far as reading. I was trained as a singer not an instrumentalist. My sight reading was poor but I could cheat by relying on my ear for the melody and parts. I taught myself guitar around 13 and played mostly accompaniment for singing. As an adult, I decided to branch out and learn finger picking. I can perform and entertain with it, but I don't commit enough time to reach my potential I suppose.

The never finished song. So I first learned Bert Jansch's version of "Blues Run the Game." Then I added several phrases from the original by Jackson C. Frank. And lastly a bit of phrasing from John Renbourn's version. Was pretty happy with it. And then I discovered this version by Martin Simpson a couple weeks ago which is so beautiful! But in a completely different tuning. So now I'm learning that version. But it's beginning to feel like I'm never going to have this tune fully under my fingers!
