Default Anyone use martin monels on a redwood guitar?

Just ordered a set and will give it a try.

I have tried them on a couple of cedar guitars. Worked well on one and not so good on the other. I have played some redwood guitars that have been fairly bright and some that are darker so I would imagine it would depend on the instrument. But, yes, do let us know what you discover.

I like the Martin Retro strings. They have a nice feel that is pliable without being too loose.

Amazed to find that lights are our favorite on our Lowden F50 Redwood/Koa. Replaced SCGC low tensions.

Yes, I have a Redwood over Brazilian Rosewood guitar and I like Retros on it. It's currently got brass strings but I wouldn't hesitate to put Retros on it again.
