Default Good things come to those who wait...

So awhile back I preordered a Red Label Yamaha FGX5. I have been anxious to get it, but the expected ship date keeps getting pushed back. It went from late may to early June, to late June and now to early August!!!

The same thing happened a few years ago waiting on my Revstar 502T electric guitar.

Not unheard of - I waited a year after the official NAMM announcement for the first Guild Newark St. electrics to turn up in my friendly local guitar shops...

I can understand that waiting is tough. I had to wait about 2-3 months for my Faith guitar to arrive in March last year. Glad I didn’t have to wait for my Yamaha FS5 as I got the last piece available. My guess is that you’ll like this MIJ Yamaha. It’s a keeper for me. I just love its tone!

And Yes...Good things come to those who wait...

The wait is worth it . I am over the top with my new FG5. Just went and played some similar build /price types just for good reference, Eastman E1SS-LTD., Martin DSS17. .Both the Martin and Eastman are really nice playing and sounding instruments ,very light ,responsive and clear ringing guitars!!! But man OH man. The Yamaha has that little extra something , maybe its the ebony fingerboard or the A.R.E. Treatment .. I may need to go back and play the E1SS-LTD it sure had a full, clear ,loud and dynamic range witch somewhat surprised me even after playing the E10SS/V WHICH WAS TWICE THE $$$.

Congrats on getting the FG5! Any NGD coming soon? I’ve done mine...probably the first for these Red Label series guitars.

Thank You
I'm just learning to record... So the songs are a mixed bag of my lack of skills in getting good sound..

I am thinking about the Red Label as a long-term investment, So I might switch to the FG5 or FGX5 models...We'll see

Good idea! It comes with the hard shell case too. I was prepared to go for the 5 series since it is made in Japan. Didn’t really consider the 3 series guitar.
