Look at the condition that guitar is in!! Amazing! Thanks for the photos!

Carters is a unique establishment, truly at the top of the list of great guitar stores.

I always enjoy Carter's. There is always something to see. They have something(s) extraordinary every time I visit. I actually prefer it to Gruhn's, by a country mile.

Cool guitar, and I'll put Carters Vintage on my bucket list.

... but why would an AGF thread title need a warning that it contains a Martin photo?

Looking at this "golden-era" Martin D-18's fairly straight-/moderately-spaced-grained top, with some compression wood, it's nice to see that the Adirondack Spruce tops on today's Martin's, and on other brands can easily rival or surpass the cosmetic looks of the top of this early D-18. How many of us have thought that with the better availability of older-growth Adirondack Spruce back in the "golden era" that these Martins must have had the best-looking Adirondack tops ever put on guitars? I have.

WHOA! Look at that #2 and it looks to be in great shape. I had the great pleasure to play a pre war D-18 a few years back. I still haven't recovered.

What a guitar, from the first open G chord I hit it became very clear why these are in such demand.
