Bedell's OM has a 1 11/16" nut. They are exceptional quality. They have some stigma from when they first entered the market with import gutiars baring the same name and they have been slow movers since going pretty much fully boutique, but they are incredibly high quality and You can find many of their best models within your price range both new and used. Give them a look.

Also, Martin 000-15 and 000-16 are both standard with 1 11/16" and are exceptional values and the exact sime size otherwise to the OM.

There is not a ton out there, but what is out there is pretty great and affordable.

Just want to endorse the recommendation for Bedell. Have had the chance to play a number of their models, and have found them truly excellent.

If you can handle a 0000, I would look at a late '70s or '80s M-38, which came standard with a 11/16" nut. They can be had for well south of $2k. I have a first year production M-38 and it's lovely.

The Yamaha A series has a 1 11é16 nut. The concert body is the same as an OM. Has a cutaway and electronics though, not sure if that's a deal breaker for you.

Maybe the scalloped braces are why it has such nice tone and volume.

I got mine from MFG because their version had the ivoroid binding I liked, with that off-white color. Maury's version has the white binding. Minor difference.
O so close, but not into short scale, at this time. If a custom order could be returned or exchanged I would consider an OM-28H. Not willing to take a chance that it could be a (rare) dud.

But that was what I liked about it. I bought my E20-OM in part because its wide 1-3/4 inch nut made it easier for me to finger than my Martin D-35.

After a seven month wait I will soon receive a Martin OOO-18GE Custom. One of the things I ordered was a 1 11/16" nut.

If you want to go the custom route, give Jon a call at My Favorite Guitars. He probably specs and sells more Martin Customs than anyone out there and knows what works and what doesn't work.

Did they finally widen it? Mine is an older model from 2012 or so, but I measured it to be 1 11/16". And the string spacing is clearly more narrow than the other three 1 3/4 nut acoustics I own, it bang on feels like playing a Les Paul.

It is on my Eastman E20-OM. With 1/32 inch calipers, the nut measures 1/32 over 1-3/4.

According to Eastman's site, all their Orchestras are 1-3/4:

And so are many of their Dreadnoughts:
