Default Preferred sandpaper for between coats sanding

What sandpaper brand do you like best for sanding between coats?

I’ve usually bought whatever brand I found on the shelf and not unexpectedly, the results have been hit and miss. Is there a paper people like that doesn’t load up while leaving a nice consistent scratch pattern for the next coat?
I’d also be curious to know what grit folks are using between coats.

That depends on what type of finish is being used. I use nitro and sand with 400 grit 3M gold. And most coats I don’t sand at all between, just the first one or two. And I always sand dry. I level sand before buff with 800 grit 3M gold.

I nearly always use "Mirka Abranet" which is no paper but a kind of net. The dust can be sucked out from the machines and by manual sanding a light knock does the job.

Depending on which coat, I use different things. Early coats are deglossed with Norton SoftTouch 320/400, later coats with SoftTouch 800/1000. Final coats with wet 2000 and a hard block.

I cannot imagine going from 800 to the buffer, that’s a lot to ask from the buffer.
