It was an ability to try out so many amazing instruments in quiet environments back to back with everyone so approachable that is just unbeatable.

Thanks for the kinds words from both of you. We work hard at it as you can tell from Thomas up there.

Mike, both you and Paul are JK disciples and he came last year and will be back again this year. If that doesn't make either of you want to come, I don't know what else I can do. I think John sold 3/4 of his guitars last year as they were tremendous and blew people away when they played them.

I’ve Seen Thomas Leeb 3 times live, and he definitely leaves people in awe… His sound is so big and full, melodic and fun. I personally can’t wait!

Awesome video--I had never heard of Thomas. But now I can't wait to see him!

Hey Tom…

With BIGg3r just around the corner, it looks like I might need to dust off the old keyboard and quit hiding in the shop all day long. It’s my natural state to be a quiet and reclusive social-hermit, hidden away in the safe confines of my little woodshop. Thanks for the prod!!!

I’ve got three guitars in the works for the show…the bodies are all now completed and I’m currently working on the business-end of the group:

1: Tropical flamed-Mango and quilted-Sitka (Venus model)
2: Cocobolo and Tunnel-14 Redwood (Luna model)
3: Waterfall-figure Bubinga and Bearclaw-Sitka (Solis model)

I’ll soon be starting the build threads on the forum, and will surely include lots of pictures. I’m looking forward to visiting with everyone again this year.

Smile Hmmm….

No doubt Johns stuff is outstanding!!!

As for discipleship, I have to say I prefer to consider myself a bit of a minor design co-conspirator….. hahahaha

Meanwhile, Cindy and I are still dealing daily with her Mom, who is closing in on 102 in July! She is still living by herself, about a quarter mile from us. Doing very well but definitely slowing down…. She gets multiple visits daily from family and friends.

This is mostly a GOOD thing, except for travel. Sigh

I will be living vicariously with you all here in the CS/Luthier‘s corner!

Just a quick update to the demonstrators. Gerry Humphrey has accepted his invitation and will be there with his amazing sounding and extremely good looking acoustic amplifiers. These things are things of beauty. Many people have ordered these from Gerry. Probably his Scottish accent is just irresistible.

I think it is time to announce Friday's performer. This guy is a Nashville studio musician along with National flat picking champion one or two times, recording mandolin on Taylor Swifts Red album and toured with her for a year. Toured with Fiona Apple and Mumford and Sons as well. Not a bad resume. Now he does demos for TNAG company and ad libs songs for each guitar on the spot. This would be none other than Carl Miner. He will be playing Friday night in our home and doing a workshop on Saturday! Please come to see him with Frog and Toad and Thomas Leeb on Saturday!

You're welcome haha!

Tom

I have thoroughly enjoyed listening to Carl's demos for TNAG. Nice way to cap off your already amazing list of performers and luthiers.

The attached TNAG video is a great example of just how sweet of a player Carl is, as well as how sweet that Lame Horse guitar is that Chris and Jeremy built.
