Default New Bosch series

Is anyone watching Bosch Legacy? I am soooo annoyed that it is on this "free" service with commercials. I liked the original series though I felt that the last season wend downhill a bit and I'm not sure if I want to watch it with commercials. Just another Grrrrrrrrr moment that makes me wonder about the value of continuing my Amazon service. Yeah, I know, mute button and all... fortunately my lawn is only in my backyard so I don't have to worry about anyone on it and can complain instead about important things like this ; )

I saw an ad for this show tonight but didn't catch how to watch it...

Thanks for the info, I hadn’t known the spin-off was up and running. Commercials or not, I’ll be on board.

I'm a huge fan of all of Michael Connelly's books. I started out reading them back to back to back while I was rehabbing from bilateral hip replacements and I wait eagerly for every new one that comes out.

As a Harry Bosch fan, I wasn't very happy with the show when it came out. In season 1, episode 1, Harry barely found the door nob to house where the crime was committed by the end of the show. I remember posting on another forum at the time that Joe Friday was once in L A and he was able to solve the crime in a half hour with ''the facts, just the facts''. It took Harry an hour just to find the crime scene.

But they finally did reel me in. Every season I've been waiting for another fix for my Harry Habit. Commercials or not, I'll be tuning in to this one tonight!

Sorry to hear about the commercials, but I'm a fan of the Bosch series so I'll be tuning in to this new iteration with the mute button handy.

I liked the first 3 seasons of Bosch but I stalled halfway through season 4 many months ago. Found it boring.

I didn't realize Amazon Prime had any shows with TV commercials on it.

It's on some sub amazon service called FreeVee, or something like that, which apparently used to be IMDB TV? This might be incorrect but whatever. Anyone can watch/use this streaming service, with or without Prime, but the price is the commercials and the show has not been made available in comm-free form on the regular Prime Video platform. EXCEPT, Dru, I did read, in a comments section, that it IS on regular Prime in Canada! So you could confirm this if you want.

I watched the original (?) Bosch series, but felt the books were MUCH better. I don't get emotionally wrapped up in TV stuff so I can take it or leave it with any of the various shows.

Did anyone here watch all of the Prime ''Bosch'' series who didn't read the books?

It's really the slowest thing I've ever seen.

It would be interesting to get that point of view. Thanks for posting the question because I would have never thought of it.

Me! I have not read a single Bosch book. I enjoyed the show but thought the last season dragged. Actually, now that I think about it more, the previous one might have as well. I don't love the show, but found it acceptably entertaining. I have a hard time finding things to watch that I think are really good - especially episodic TV.

My complaints are motivated much more by Amazon frustration and my lack of tolerance for commercials than the show itself.

Never read the books, didn’t in fact know the programs were based on them.
- found the series entertaining for the most part, but I confess our bar has been set fairly low these last 2 (pandemic) years.

I saw the first episode last night. First of all, I only got 2, fifteen second commercials. It follows the books with Harry retiring and becoming a PI. It has a new updated opening that reminds me of the old opening. It seems a little faster paced. I like it.

I'll be watching episode 2 tonight.

(What can I say, I'm a Harry Junkie!)

I didn't read the books (I didn't even know Bosch was based on a book). It was a slow burn at times but I liked the first couple of seasons.

I can't imagine how you got past the first episode. They moved the plot by about 5 pages in the book. I was shocked at the end. That's it? That's all you've got?
