Default SOLD: James Olson Dreadnought, Cutaway, Rare, Nitro, Pre CNC, St. Paul Stamp, 1989

1989 Olson dreadnought. Mahogany/Sitka guitar is in excellent + condition. Nitro finish has no checking. Guitar sounds great, plays like an Olson & is a collector's item. You wont find Olson dreadnoughts because people don't sell & not many were built.

There is the St Paul, MN stamp on it vs. the current Circle Pines, MN stamp. This guitar was built before Jim began using CNC machine & it has nitrocellulose finish. CNC (computer numeric control) and the newer UV cured polyurethane finish both began in 1999, 10 years after this guitar was built.

The photo of the mic in the sound hole is dated. I replaced the original mic/pickup this year with a Baggs LB6, the same pickup as Jim Olson puts in his guitars, including those of James Taylor.

Beautiful 1989 Olson dreadnaught which is from the same year as James Taylor's first two Olsons.

Make me an offer and you'll be thrilled. This is a really fine guitar.

Very cool guitar Bruce. I see the Schaller tuners were made in "West" Germany. Another nod to it's age and a reminder of an age gone by.

Folks, Bruce is great to deal with and he knows his stuff. GLWTS

Hey Nootis,

Yes this Olson smacks of his great guitars just prior to his hitting it big with James Taylor. And 33 years old in superb shape! A collector's piece for certain.
