Default Thoughts on Vocal Enhancement with Fishman Loudbox Artist

Hi,

Would appreciate thoughts on vocal channel effect settings on Fishman Loudbox Artist. What has your experience been? Any preferred settings? Have guitar pretty well dialed in -- now working on vocals.

Thanks!

Run the vocal mic through a TC R1 or Mic Mechanic. Huge upgrade in tone over what you can get plugged straight in. The preamps on those pedals are noticeably deeper and clearer. The verbs are stellar as well.

I use just a bit of the first reverb in the A effects and it works fine.

+1. I also dial the bass back a bit, the treble up a bit and leave the mids flat for my own voice. Yours requirements may vary.

Lots of people here have discussed using pedals on the vocal channel. One that often comes up is the TC-Helicon Mic Mechanic 2. It is desribed as a "Vocal Effects Pedal with Reverb, Delay, Pitch Correction, Adaptive Tone, and 9V Operation Option". I've never used it (I don't plug in) but it gets good reviews here.

You could also try a TC Helicon SingThing into the Fishman Loudbox Artist and gain a multitude of vocal controls. See my review.

OP here -- Appreciate the great feedback. Love the AGF for learning. I've also "had" to buy two guitars because of AGF -- which continues to open my eyes to new musical things.

Peace!
