IRIS DF Adi/Hog
This is the IRIS DF based on the Gibson J 45 style guitar. This particular one I am listing has an Adirondack top and figured mahogany back and sides. It features include Ivoroid binding, strap pin, bone bridge pins and has been refretted by Iris with EVO Gold frets. The original frets were very small and thin feeling. It is extremely resonant, loud, dry and piano like at the same time. There is one super tiny indention in the top otherwise is in near mint condition. Really on the fence with this one. Its a wonderful guitar and I do like it quite a bit just currently looking for a standard dreadnaught. Includes an additional saddle in the case you want to adjust the action.

Very Nice DF - bet the Adi top gives it some snap. Is this the standard 11/16 or 3/4" nut - interested parties will probably want to know this detail? I did not know EVO frets were one of the options @ Iris? 10-12 month lead time on these folks, so you can jump the line with this one! Good luck with your sale from a fellow DF Smeck owner.

Thank you all for sharing the love of the Iris. I’ve been back and forth on letting this one go, would consider it for the right trade or sale. It is a special instrument and no rush on my end. It’s a joy to play!
To answer a very important question for many on the nut width. Nut width - 1 3/4

Lots of interest and some great trade options have come in on this beauty. This DF is still here. I may lean more towards a sale but keep the trade offers coming. I’m still looking for Dread but would consider an om or a 000. You never know…
I believe these are the best guitars being built for the money. The way it resonates is unreal and the only other guitar that I have played that reminds me of it is a Santa Cruz D/PW I played 10 years ago. Happy picking

Still reluctantly listing this amazing Iris. Still fancying a bluegrass dreadnaught but if I keep the DF I would be happy. Switched it out with my Taylor for a bit and I have to say I much prefer the Iris. It has a much fuller neck and the sound is so big and balanced.
