Default martin d28s Japan

why is it when you scroll through ebay for used d28s 90% of them are from Japan?

Because there are a TON of Japanese guitar collectors.

....the Japanese are voracious and savvy collectors....in the early days of ebay they were very active in the vintage guitar market....I remember one Japanese collector whose name I remember but won’t share was outbidding everyone whenever a choice vintage Gibson came up for sale....

...to be clear I am not in any way disparaging the Japanese whose culture and society I respect deeply...
